Terms & conditions

The agreement between Reachbay HomeCare Sdn. Bhd. and the client. In force from 1 March 2026.

1. Definitions

"We", "us", "Reachbay" — Reachbay HomeCare Sdn. Bhd. (Reg. 202501054732). "You", "client" — the natural person or registered entity that books and pays for the work. "Site" — the address at which the work is to be carried out.

2. Quotes & pricing

All quotes are itemised in writing and valid for 30 days from issue. Verbal estimates given on the phone are indicative only — they are not a fixed price. We do not begin paid work until you have countersigned the written quote.

3. Variations

If during the work we discover something not visible at quote time (a corroded valve hidden by tile, for example), we will stop, photograph the finding, and offer you a written variation. We never extend a job beyond the signed quote without your consent.

4. Workmanship warranty

We warrant our workmanship for twelve months from the completion date stated on the invoice. The warranty covers defects in installation that cause failure under normal use; it does not cover misuse, third-party tampering, water damage caused by an unrelated upstream problem, or damage from acts of God.

5. Parts warranty

Parts we supply carry the manufacturer's warranty, listed (brand, model, period) on the invoice. Parts you supply are warranted by the entity you bought them from — we install them in good faith and warrant the workmanship only.

6. Payment terms

For residential jobs under RM2,000: payment in full on completion, by DuitNow QR, FPX, GrabPay, card, or cash. For jobs above RM2,000: a 30% deposit on quote acceptance, remainder on completion. For business clients: NET-14 by prior written agreement.

7. Cancellation & rescheduling

Rescheduling more than four hours before the agreed slot is free. Same-day cancellation after the technician has been dispatched forfeits the callout fee (RM80 daytime, RM180 night/weekend). Quote deposits on accepted jobs are refundable up until materials are ordered or work begins.

8. Site access & safety

You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area, including any required permits-to-work from a building management. If a site visit cannot proceed because access was not arranged (gate locked, building permit not in place), the callout fee applies. Our technicians may refuse to work in genuinely unsafe conditions and will explain why on the spot.

9. Liability

Our liability for any single claim is capped at the greater of (a) twice the invoice value of the job to which the claim relates, or (b) the limit of our public liability insurance for the same event. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss not arising directly from our workmanship.

10. Disputes

If something has gone wrong, talk to us first — most issues are resolved on a single phone call. Unresolved disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms apply as published on the day we issue your quote. We may update the version on the site at any time, but the terms attached to your specific job are the ones we showed you when you signed.
