We take on bathroom remodels in two formats. A fresh refit — usually a 7 to 12 day project where we replace tiles, fittings, vanity, and waterproofing in an existing layout. And a full remodel — a 14 to 28 day project where we redraw the layout, often changing the door swing, shower position, or wet-zone divider.
What's underneath matters most
The single most common reason a bathroom redo fails at the 18-month mark in Malaysia is incomplete or rushed waterproofing. We use two-coat cementitious tanking with corner-fillet reinforcement and a 24-hour flood test before any tile goes down. It is not glamorous, it is not photographed for the Instagram post, and it is the difference between a beautiful bathroom and a wet ceiling for the unit below.
Falls, dries, and quiet drains
Floor falls toward the trap should be at least 1.5 % across the wet zone. We laser-level the screed before tiling and dry-lay the first row to make sure cut lines around the drain look intentional. Drains themselves get sound-deadening foam wrap on the under-slab connection so the upstairs shower doesn't sound like a passing train downstairs.
Fixtures we work with
You bring the brand. We're comfortable installing Hansgrohe, Grohe, Kohler, Roca, Toto, Doe, Rubine — basically anything carrying a real Malaysian SIRIM-recognised warranty. We'll flag if a chosen tap has a known thread issue with your existing connections before order day.
A realistic budget guide
A standard 2.5 × 1.6 m condo bathroom refit, mid-spec fittings, runs RM18,000 – RM28,000 finished. A full landed master ensuite remodel with a walk-in shower, freestanding tub, and bespoke vanity typically lands between RM38,000 and RM68,000. We quote line-by-line; you can take items out as well as in.
